The Yew Tree Project

A Tree cut down for building purposes at the Salisbury arts centre was shared between 44 artists…some of them had never worked with wood before…
When given the wood, Laurence decided to attempt to extract “its substance” in every possible way; starting with pulping the various parts of the tree to make paper and then researching its use and meanings over times, from the Celtic sacred sites to our Christian churchyards, from Practical magic and weapons to medicine and homeopathy...
